The densest district: the avenues cross in a tight grid, the buildings are taller and the lights more numerous. The sky has almost disappeared from the frame.

Where to hang it

A study, an urban living room. On its own, this panel is the most abstract of the three: a texture of light rather than a landscape.

What it goes with

Black, copper, tan leather, polished concrete. It closes the series on its greatest density.

Which size to choose

As it is the busiest, it balances the series better on the right than in the centre. Keep the order left, centre, right: the city grows denser from one frame to the next.

Questions about this artwork

It needs distance: from less than two metres, the grid of windows dominates. It is the most interesting panel within the series, less so on its own.

A light wall, so that the dark mass of the frame stands out. On an anthracite wall, the series disappears into the wall.

It is better: the three panels of a triptych are printed in the same colour batch, which guarantees a strictly identical tone from one panel to the next. Ordered weeks apart, a tiny difference remains possible: invisible on its own, noticeable side by side on a wall.
