The wave · right panel, in detail

The wave has collapsed: the foam spreads in a sheet over the dark sand, the spray rises, and the sea dissolves into a silvery grey towards the horizon. This is the aftermath, the retreat.

Where to hang it

A bedroom, a living room, a study. On its own, it is the most soothing panel of the series: almost a mist, more than a wave.

What it goes with

Pearl grey, sand, linen, bleached wood. It calms the triptych and gives it its final breath.

Which size to choose

As this panel closes the series on the right, leave at least 20 cm of free wall after the frame: a series of three that runs into a corner loses its balance.

Questions about this artwork

It is the same shot, cut into three. The light and the grain are therefore strictly identical from one panel to the next, which is what holds the triptych together.

Yes, it is a good choice for a bedroom: the foam and the mist outweigh the movement, so the image does not liven up the room.

Not on a triptych: a mount adds a white margin between each panel and breaks the continuity. Keep it for artworks hung on their own.
