The swell builds offshore under a stormy sky: a first white crest runs halfway up, the water is slate blue and deep, and the beach only appears at the bottom of the frame.

Where to hang it

A study, a living room, a hallway. On its own, this panel is the darkest and the most tense of the three: the sea before it breaks.

What it goes with

Navy blue, grey, dark wood, black metal. It opens the wave triptych, the most contrasted series in the catalogue.

Which size to choose

Allow 1.50 m of wall for the three 40 × 50 cm panels, spaced 10 to 12 cm apart. In this series, the spacing must be strictly even: the movement of the wave reads from one frame to the next.

Questions about this artwork

It is the deepest of the three, but that is what gives the triptych its contrast. On a white wall, a light frame lightens the whole; a black frame embraces it.

Yes, if the room is ventilated and wide enough. In that case, choose acrylic for all three panels: it is the finish that copes best with humidity.

It is not recommended: each triptych is the division of a single image, with its own light and its own horizon. Mixing series produces three horizons that do not meet.
