The dunes · left panel, in detail

Tall marram grass, bent by the wind, fills the whole frame against a very pale blue sky. No sea, no path: this is the way into the dune, the moment when the grasses are still taller than your line of sight.

Where to hang it

A living room, a bedroom, an entrance hall. On its own, this panel reads as a study of grasses: abstract, soft, with no identifiable subject.

What it goes with

Linen, driftwood, off-whites, beige. It opens the dune triptych, of which it is the lightest panel.

Which size to choose

The three panels need a wall about 1.50 m wide: three 40 × 50 cm frames spaced 10 to 12 cm apart. Hang the centre of the series 1.45 m from the floor and align the frames by their middle, never by their top.

Questions about this artwork

Yes, each panel is sold separately and stands on its own. This one is the most self-sufficient of the three: without the path or the sea, it works as an artwork of grasses in its own right.

Left, centre, right: it is one photograph cut into three, and the horizon line must continue from one frame to the next. Swapping them would break the continuity of the landscape.

Absolutely. Three different finishes would read as three artworks placed side by side, not as a triptych. Same size, same frame, same paper.
