The lavender field · centre panel, in detail

The rows converge towards the low sun, which floods the frame with golden light: the backlit spikes turn almost pink and the earth of the path grows lighter. This is the panel of the golden hour.

Centred on the furniture, this panel must fall at eye level: the rows running towards the sun only work if you look at them head-on, not from below.

Questions about this artwork

This one: the converging rows and the sun make it a complete image. The side panels are more descriptive, less composed.

It is warm on purpose: it is a late-afternoon photograph. In a room that is already very warm in colour, choose the mountain triptych, which is cooler.
