Single-seater, in detail

A racing single-seater seen strictly from above, rendered flat: front wing, sidepods, air intake, rear wing. Red dominates, set on a sand background, and the shadows are reduced to a few flat areas. No team, no number, no sponsor.

Where to hang it

A teenager’s bedroom, a study, a converted garage, a games room. It is the boldest piece in the collection, and the only one about an identifiable subject.

What it goes with

Charcoal grey, black, brushed metal. On a dark wall, the red stands out clearly; on a white wall, choose a black frame to contain the composition.

Which size to choose

The 50 × 70 cm does justice to the length of the car, which fills the full height of the image. At 30 × 40 cm, the details of the floor and the suspension become hard to read.

Questions about this artwork

No. It is a generic single-seater created for the collection, with no team, no number and no sponsor. No brand is shown, and that is deliberate: the artwork stays an artwork, not merchandise.

Yes. The image is crisp, with no violence or photographic realism. For a child’s room, stretched canvas is the safest finish: no panel, no glass.

Yes, the engraving is complimentary. The bottom of the image, below the rear wing, is the calmest area for a first name or a date of birth.
