The woodland · centre panel, in detail

Light breaks through between the trunks and lights the fog from above: the trunks stand out against the light, very graphic, and white dominates the upper half of the frame.

Where to hang it

A living room, a bedroom, a study. On its own, it is the brightest and most striking of the three: the clearing in the middle of the forest.

What it goes with

White, verdigris, light wood, linen. It is the panel to choose if you only take one from this series.

Which size to choose

In the centre, this panel carries the light: it must fall in the middle of your field of vision. If it is off-centre, the series seems to lean towards the light side.

Questions about this artwork

Yes: it is the rising sun shining through the fog between the trunks. No halo has been added to the print.

It is a good choice: it is the lightest image of the three, and it brings light to a wall that gets none.

Best avoided: both tell the same story and would compete. Hang them in different rooms.
