Village in the sun, in detail
A hamlet in the South reduced to its volumes: ochre houses with flat roofs, a square bell tower, two dark cypresses, red earth rising in a gentle slope. Gouache, broad flat areas, no needless window detail: the sun is everywhere and comes from nowhere.
Where to hang it
A living room, a dining room, an open-plan kitchen. It is a warm artwork that warms up a north-facing room and gives a table a holiday feel.
What it goes with
