Watercolour heart, in detail

A large watercolour heart filled with diagonal stripes in sage, powder pink, ochre and grey-green, edged with a pale yellow border. The cream background keeps the blooms of wet paper.

Where to hang it

A child’s bedroom, a teenager’s bedroom, a family corner. It is a tender image without being twee: the heart is there, but treated as a graphic motif.

What it goes with

White, sage, light wood, striped textiles. It is the natural link between the children’s range and the main bedroom, whose palette it shares.

Which size to choose

The 30 × 40 cm above a child’s bed or a desk; the 40 × 50 cm if it is alone on its wall. A wide white mount suits it particularly well.
