The blue mountains · right panel, in detail
A dark mountain mass fills the bottom of the frame and stands out sharply against the pale ridges in the background. It is the most contrasted panel of the series: it gives it its anchor point.
Where to hang it
A study, a living room, an entrance hall. On its own, it is bolder than its two neighbours: a clear relief rather than a mist.
What it goes with
Midnight blue, warm grey, walnut, matte black. It anchors the series and keeps it from looking too hazy.
Which size to choose
As it carries the darkest mass, it must never end up in the centre: the series would look unbalanced. Keep to the order left, centre, right.
Questions about this artwork
The complete triptych
This panel is one third of a single landscape. Hung side by side, the three line up exactly.
You are looking at the right panel. The three panels form a set: ordered together, they are printed in the same colour batch.
