The lavender field · left panel, in detail
Rows of lavender run diagonally towards a low horizon, in the raking light of late afternoon. The purple is dense in the foreground, and the soil between the rows is light ochre.
Where to hang it
A living room, a dining room, a kitchen. On its own, this panel brings a Provençal summer with no decor other than the crop itself.
What it goes with
White linen, terracotta, raw wood, olive green. It opens the most colourful of the seven triptychs.
Which size to choose
Allow 1.50 m of wall for the three panels, spaced 10 to 12 cm apart. This series needs light: avoid a dark hallway, where the purples turn grey.
Questions about this artwork
The complete triptych
This panel is one third of a single landscape. Hung side by side, the three line up exactly.
You are looking at the left panel. The three panels form a set: ordered together, they are printed in the same colour batch.
