The blue mountains · left panel
First third of “the blue mountains”: layered ridges in the mist. Works on its own, pairs with the other two.

The blue mountains · left panel, in detail
Layered ridges follow one another to the horizon in a gradient of lavender and powder blue, from darkest at the bottom to palest at the top. No foreground: only successive planes.
Where to hang it
A bedroom, a living room, a study. On its own, this panel is the most abstract image of the series: layers of colour rather than a landscape.
What it goes with
Lavender, blue-grey, white, limed wood. It opens the softest of the seven triptychs.
Which size to choose
A wall about 1.50 m wide for all three, spaced 10 to 12 cm apart. This series copes better than others with slightly wider spacing (up to 15 cm): the planes carry on even at a distance.
Questions about this artwork
The complete triptych
This panel is one third of a single landscape. Hung side by side, the three line up exactly.
You are looking at the left panel. The three panels form a set: ordered together, they are printed in the same colour batch.
