Faces do not appear: the likeness comes through the silhouettes, the hairstyles and the colours of the clothes. At Lullae, one photo per person is enough, the scene is built from the name of the place, and both the place and the first names are written beneath the image. Ce n’est pas une photographie de l’endroit : c’est son portrait illustré, reconnaissable au premier coup d’œil sans chercher à être exact mètre par mètre.

Because that is what makes the poster work. From behind, nobody has to recognise themselves feature by feature: what you look at is you in front of that landscape, not a more or less faithful portrait. We do, however, match each person's build, hairstyle and clothing colours to your photos.

Any place at all, and it does not have to be a holiday spot: a region, a city, a beach, a mountain range, your grandparents' village, the family home, the spot of a proposal. You type its name in full and the scenery is composed from it.
