Personalised cat portrait from your photos.
A personalised cat portrait is an illustration created from a photo of your cat, keeping their coat, their stripes and their eye colour, in a chosen graphic style: watercolour, drawing, modern flat-colour portrait or gallery studio. It is printed on stretched canvas or as a framed fine art print.

The styles
A cat portrait with an artist’s touch, without the studio wait
Having your cat hand-painted by an artist often takes weeks, and you only discover the result at the end. Here the cat portrait has the look of a painted work (watercolour, royal portrait, costume) and is composed from your photo: you see the preview before you pay. Their coat, eyes and expression stay their own.
Watercolour cat portraits
Watercolour renders fur as no photograph does: the colour bleeds, the gaze stays sharp. The most chosen style for a cat, and the one that ages best on a wall.
Royal and aristocratic cat portraits
A lace collar, a court gown, a gold circlet resting in the fur: the most requested register in animal portraiture, painted in oil like an old master. The costume is painted, the head and coat stay theirs.
Cat portraits in costume
A general’s uniform, an aviator’s jacket: the costume tells their character rather than their breed. One front-facing photo, taken at their level, is enough.
Studio cat portraits
Dark background, a master’s light, no set: the artwork shows nothing but them. The understated choice, at home in a living room.
Painted and fine art cat portraits
No costume, no staging: them on a velvet armchair, or on the cover of a magazine that does not exist. The one to choose when the artwork should stay understated.
Realistic cat portraits, no costume
No costume, no castle set: the cat exactly as they are, on a window sill at first light or outside, facing the wind. At the window, raking light comes in from one side and picks the hairs out one by one; on the moor, it is the wind that lifts the coat under an overcast sky. “Open air” assumes a cat who goes outdoors; for an indoor cat, “The morning window” is the only one of the two that rings true.
Cat portraits in memory
For a cat who is no longer here. No wings, no halo, no clouds: they are simply at rest in late-afternoon light, with a great deal of empty space around them. That emptiness is what holds the image together: a crowded composition would turn the tribute into a set. An older photo, even damaged or slightly blurred, is usually enough: what we look for in it is the coat and the colour of the eyes.
Christmas cat portraits
Curled on a chunky wool blanket beside the fire: the light comes from the flames, from one side, and it is the firelight that sculpts the coat. The tree stays far behind and out of focus: a few branches, one or two matte baubles and the rounds of light from the string lights. It is a seasonal piece, and owns it: in a very contemporary black-and-white room, the wood and the amber of the fire will clash the rest of the year.
Illustrated and drawn cat portraits
Four ways of drawing them rather than photographing them. The modern portrait cuts them out against a flat colour; line and wash lets the ink run and the watercolour bleed; pop art turns the coat into saturated blocks; the woodblock print sets them on Japanese paper among peonies and waves. This is the register to choose when the photo is not perfect: drawing absorbs what it lacks, where a photographic rendering shows it.

Which photo to send for a good result
Photograph them at their own height, not from above: a photo taken standing up, the most common kind with a cat, flattens the muzzle and spoils the likeness.
From the front or at three-quarters, in daylight. Flash makes the eyes shine and distorts their colour.
The coat clearly visible, stripes or patches included: they are what people recognise first in the artwork.
